Huntress is a standout cybersecurity provider that has a lot of excellent content available online. Yet, their target audience had a tough time finding the way to their website and resources. This caused lackluster performance and stifled growth. Huntress asked WX to help turn things around.
Huntress defends SMBs and IT providers against modern cyber threats with its managed cybersecurity platform. ThreatOps offers 24/7 threat hunting, world-class support, and step-by-step instructions to stop advanced attacks.
Huntress partnered up with WX to revamp their website revamp to match their upgraded brand image, improve their organic visibility and generate more qualified leads.
How do you ship a high-performing website in less than 7 weeks?
WX had to develop a comprehensive plan to make sure that the website was ready for a successful launch within a short timeframe - just 7 weeks.
The site had to meet all of Huntress' requirements, and on top of that we needed to create an improvement in both organic search performance and on-site navigation.
Finally, we had to plan ahead for the addition of multiple new features over an 18-month period.
"Our company website owes its success to WX, who played a key role in its creation and implementation. They conducted multiple audits and implemented hard-hitting optimizations that greatly improved our site's performance. They have remained an invaluable partner as we continue to expand and improve our site.

The WX process
At WX, we take a strategic and collaborative approach to ensure that every project is delivered with the highest quality and efficiency. Our process is designed to give you a clear understanding of what to expect from start to finish. Here how we worked with Huntress.
Planning
During the planning phase we:
- Gathered the project requirements
- Defined the design
- Assigned the development & QA team
- Created a list of all deliverables (WBS)
We also scheduled weekly syncs with Huntress to ensure everyone stayed on the same page. Finally, we submitted the scope of works and got approval before moving forward.
Execution
The execution phase is divided into four consecutive steps
- Prototyping & Design
- Building the assets
- Populating content in cooperation with client team(s)
- Quality Assurance
1. Protyping and design
We started by modifying the HubSpot theme and designing the new the pages based on the brand guidelines and project requirements. We include multiple feedback rounds to ensure that all marks are hit before starting development.
2. Building
We first develop the relevant assets in the HubSpot Staging Environment. This enables a perfect preview without having to touch the existing website. We know that a live look can feel different from a design mockup, so we budget some time for client feedback and small tweaks here.
3. Populate content in cooperation with client team(s)
When the new pages are ready, it's time to populate them. We work closely with the relevant client teams to add copy, media, and CTA content. During this time, we also work on setting up the redirects file and internal linking to avoid 404 errors and prevent loss of link juice.
4. Quality Assurance (QA)
During the project, we used userback.io, a visual feedback tool, to ensure that the pages were properly tested across devices, browsers, and operating systems. This helped ensure that the website was optimized for all users, regardless of their device or platform.
Launch
Once QA was complete, we were ready to launch.
We coordinated a simulatenous push of all new site pages from the staging environment to the live environment.
Finally, we manually requested indexing of all new content through Google Search Console. This optimized the visibility for all new pages.
Iterate
Post-launch, we leveraged analytics data to push out continuous improvements.
We were able to enhance the user experience (UX), build new functionalities and pages, and achieved significant SEO and CRO.
